Description
The CPLLC Big Ass Fans Platform brings Big Ass Fans ceiling fans into Crestron Home, each fan and its light as separate devices with their own controls, so the light can be part of Crestron Home lighting scenes. It works with the Haiku, i6 and es6 fans that run firmware 3.0 or later. The platform finds every fan on the processor’s network by itself and adds each one to Crestron Home as a fan, and its light, when it has one, as a light of its own. Each fan keeps a connection to the platform open and reports every change, so Crestron Home follows the fans even when they are run from the Big Ass Fans app, a remote or a wall control.

Windows utility that simplifies sideloading of drivers and extensions.
The platform’s own license key, or a CPLLC site license key, is entered in the platform’s Enter License Key option. The License Manager is not required, but it is the convenient place to enter a site license key once for every CPLLC driver.
All license purchases are final and non-refundable. Every CPLLC driver works fully for two hours without a key: test it on your processor before you buy. See the Terms of Use.
Platform Installer Options
- Obtain License Key – Opens the Big Ass Fans Platform page on CPLLC.net (cpllc.net/product/big-ass-fans-platform), where its license key, or a CPLLC site license key, can be purchased.
- Enter License Key – The Big Ass Fans Platform license key, or a CPLLC site license key. Either one licenses the platform by itself. The License Manager is not required, but it is the convenient place to enter a site license key once for every CPLLC driver.
- Fan Addresses – Only for fans the search can’t find, such as fans on another subnet: their IP addresses, separated by commas. Blank by default.
Ceiling Fans
A Big Ass Fans fan is added as a Crestron Home fan, its tile showing whether it is on. Touching the tile turns it on or off; its … button opens its page, with + and − for the speed (1 to 7), its direction, Whoosh, and the Preset list. Preset shows the fan’s mode, None, Auto or Eco; touching it lists them, and None takes the fan out of Auto at its last speed.
Ceiling Fans Installer Options
- Show on Home Screen – Shows the fan’s tile on the Home screen (default off).
- Show in Room Screen – Shows the fan’s tile in its room (default on).
- Starting Pin Code – A numeric PIN that must be entered before the fan’s controls are shown. Blank means no PIN (the default).
- Seconds Pin Active – How long the controls stay unlocked after the last touch (default 10 seconds).
- Tile Clickable – Touching the tile turns the fan on or off (default on).
- Only Display Tile – Shows the tile alone, with no page of controls (default off).
- Auto Enabled – Offers a timer on the fan’s page that turns the fan off again (default off).
- Maximum Auto Time – The longest time, in minutes, that timer can be set to.
Ceiling Fans Actions
- Fan On / Fan Off – Turns the fan on or off, as its tile and its page do.
- Fan Toggle – Turns the fan on if it is off, and off if it is on.
- Fan On w/Auto Off – Turns the fan on, then off again after the number of minutes given (up to Maximum Auto Time).
- Fan On w/Auto Off (Seconds) – The same, with the time in seconds.
- Fan Speed – Sets the fan’s speed, 1 to 7.
- Fan Direction Forward / Fan Direction Reverse – Sets the direction the fan turns.
- Set Preset – Sets the fan’s preset: None, Auto or Eco. None takes the fan out of Auto at its last speed.
- Fan Feedback On / Fan Feedback Off – Sets the state Crestron Home shows for the fan, without sending a command to it.
- Extension Enable / Extension Disable – Enables or disables the fan. A disabled fan shows Disabled and ignores its tile and page.
Ceiling Fans Events
- Fan is On / Fan is Off – The fan turned on or off, from Crestron Home, the Big Ass Fans app, a remote or a wall control.
- Extension Enabled / Extension Disabled – The fan was enabled or disabled.
- Pin Locked / Pin UnLocked – The PIN keypad locked again, or the right PIN was entered.
Fan Lights
A fan’s downlight, or its uplight on a fan that has only an uplight, is added as a Crestron Home light named after the fan (“Office Fan Light”). It joins the room’s Lights tile with its switch, brightness slider and color temperature, and can be in the room’s lighting scenes. A light has no installer options of its own and no page; Crestron Home draws its controls.
Sequences
Each fan brings its actions and events to Crestron Home sequences, under its name in Customize Actions & Events: see Ceiling Fans above. A fan light has Crestron Home’s own light actions. A sequence on a fan’s events follows the fan even when it is run from the Big Ass Fans app, a remote or a wall control.
